Rompre avec le temps des ruptures

Abstract : The aim of this paper is to analyse the consistency of a political breaking off regarding with a contemporary order named as capitalistic, one of the features of which is to promote biographical discontinuities. Firstly, we are applying a sociological analysis highlighting the capture of time operated by capitalism, especially by mobilizing individuals to constitute their identity by segmentation. The "pointillist era", as called by Zygmunt Bauman, uses those elements and underlines the fact that contemporary subjectivities are forced to be placed in a Sisyphean self-realization competition, because these promises are inextricably related to their repeated failures which however, let them continue such a quest. In order to attempt thinking another era, we should shift the main focus and notice that the capital exploits human beings’ transindividuality by confining it to productive places. Thus, thinking another era will oblige us to consider the relationship between transindividual experience and political action. In the light of this short analyze, we will try to draw the dimensions of another type of era, that of politics.
