Le langage intérieur : un nouveau protocole d’enquête. Fait linguistique et fait endophasique

Abstract : What is an inner speech fact? Which inner speech facts the current traceback protocols can reveal? Since the first questionnaire (Georges Saint-Paul, at the end of the 19th century), the various investigations were conducted. The inner speech was more studied from a psychological or a neurocognitive point of view, sometimes a sociological one as well. It was not really studied as a linguistic fact, whereas it is above all a matter of language. In 2014, I have created within the interdisciplinary programme Monologuer a new protocol (Protocol 2R), which was enhanced collectively. Until november 2018, we conducted investigations and experimentations with 113 adults and we analysed representations and restitutions of ordinary inner speech. Those representations and restitutions are necessarily subjective. With this new protocol, we tested the Vygotski-Egger hypothesis of a condensed and abreviated inner speech. We created as well new analysis tools, adapted to this linguistics underside (« Envers » de la linguistique, Bergounioux 2004). The inner speech can be considered as a linguistic fact and a stylistic fact, a combination of idiolectal variations and an endophasic grammar.
