Contribution d'une géographie indisciplinée et ses obstacles

Abstract : Thanks to an educational background during a PhD experience in geography, we propose a focus on the benefits and the limits of the interdisciplinarity. The dissertation traces the socio-political origins of ecological continuity of rivers: we analyse how the construction and the development and implementation of the policy of the ecological continuity combined science and politics. The thesis adopts many approaches that borrows from several knowledge and concepts across a variety of disciplinary backgrounds (physical geography, ecology, political science, sociology, science and technology studies). This required time for reflection and consideration in order to think the divergences and convergences between the different approaches. The aim is to better understand the main issues during the construction of a way of thinking. Flowing from the critical analysis to appreciating the difficulties of interdisciplinarity, readers are encouraged to explain and justify its own choices to avoid falling into the trap of fruitless undisciplined analysis.
