Images et représentations des bisexuelles dans Lesbia Magazine des années 1980-1990

Abstract : This article presents the evolution of images and representations of bisexual women in Lesbia Magazine, the first lesbian journal published in France in 1982. Through a cross-reading of polyphonic narratives, enunciative strategies, rhetorics and arguments embedded in various forms of writing : editorials, testimonies, interviews, columns, letters from readers, and personal advertisements, it is discovered that, among the controversies and polemics raised in these texts, a tension emerges between exclusion and integration, differentiation and resistance. These discursive dynamics not only participate in the construction and circulation of the notion of bisexuality, but also encourage the "coming out" of bisexual women, and therefore develop an increased visibility and strengthened identity.
