The presented text is on the process of becoming a piece of heritage. More precisely, by leaning on the analysis of the requalification of the former industrial site of Case in Vierzon, it aims at showing that the feeling of common property to a historical good does not avoid the expression of social relationships of domination, on the contrary it strengthens it in the way this expression is not seen as such. In other words the inherited material space is the space of a collective representation of the past (what I will call " memory space " to simplify) and that this representation is the one of the dominating group.

Le texte présenté ici porte sur le processus de patrimonialisation. Plus spécifiquement, en s'appuyant sur l'analyse de la requalification de l'ancien site industriel de Case à Vierzon, il vise à montrer que le sentiment de propriété commune associé à un bien historique n'empêche pas l'expression - plus encore il la favorise puisque généralement cette expression n'est pas perçue en tant que telle - de rapports sociaux de domination. Autrement dit, l'espace matériel patrimonialisé est l'espace d'une représentation collective du passé (ce que j'appellerai pour simplifier l'" espace mémoriel ") et cette représentation est celle du groupe dominant.
