Correspondances. Diffusion des modèles infrastructurels urbains à partir du Transmilenio de Bogotá et le métrocable de Medellín

Abstract : This article relates, on the basis of a recent panel of European architectural press, the dissemination of urban mobility infrastructure implemented in the cities of Bogotá and Medellín in Colombia as models. The Bogotá’s Transmilenio allows to approach the updating of a well-known public transportation ever since its genesis in Curitiba, Brazil, to the expectations aroused by its Latin American metamorphosis today in the United States and Europe. The Medellín’s Metrocable offers the opportunity to capture how an industrial leisure transport operator enters the urban transportation market through diversification and concentration of capital. In both cases, their success in European media questions the conditions of choice of an infrastructural model and calls for a fine reading of their potential territorial articulation.
